Orality & mission

Most people will never open a Bible. But they will listen.

Most of the world does not read — it listens. Here is the problem, the response, our contribution, and how you can be part of it.

The problem

Billions of people learn, remember and pass on truth through story, song and image — not through text. Many cannot read; many more can read but never do. And thousands of languages still have no written Bible. A print-first strategy simply leaves these communities out.

The response: orality-first mission

When the Gospel is told, sung and shown in the heart language, it is understood, retained and retold. Bible storytelling, listening groups, audio Scripture and film become the natural tools of evangelism and discipleship.

That is why we distribute the Gospel in local languages through audio and video — including social media and messaging apps — and through public and household viewings of the Jesus film, introducing people to God, to Jesus Christ, to the finished work of the cross and to God's love for all people.

Our contribution

Four concrete ways Audio Vie France serves oral communities and local churches.

Audio and video in the heart language

Audio Scripture, Bible stories and teaching programs in thousands of local languages — downloadable or preloaded on our players.

Jesus film viewings

Public and household screenings of the Jesus film and other Christian content, introducing people to God, to Jesus Christ, to the finished work of the cross and to God's love for all people. The Beamer Neo makes this possible where there is no power and no screen.

Digital and social-media distribution

The same Gospel content shared through social channels and messaging apps in local languages, so it reaches phones as well as villages.

Hardware and local churches

The Galet and the Beamer Neo for places with no electricity or internet, with programs such as Overview of the Bible, Good News and Look, Listen and Live for local churches.

Where we work

We serve local partners across four main fields, in audio and in video.

Central, Eastern and Southern Europe

Roma, migrant and refugee communities: audio and video in the heart language, shared from phone to phone.

French-speaking Africa

Local churches and outreach teams equipped with Galet players and Beamers for villages without electricity.

India and Pakistan

Listening groups and household screenings, in dozens of languages and dialects.

South-East Asia

Discreet distribution of audio and video content where the Gospel cannot circulate publicly.

Some of these fields are closed or restricted countries. For the safety of our local partners we name regions rather than specific places.
